A Large 19th Century Terracotta Rhubarb or Sea Kale Forcer
Mellowed to a lovely nutty colour over years of work in a Victorian kitchen garden, forcing an early crop for the large house.
These early 19th century pots have a rolled edge to the top opening, where a tile or square of wood cut out the last of the light.
English, circa 1850.
Width 18 inches, height 19 inches.
